All three of our Dragon Boat crews practice out of the Burloak Canoe Club in Downtown Oakville. The Burloak Canoe Club is one of Canada’s leading flat-water Olympic canoe-kayak racing clubs, offering first-class training programs for close to 250 members of all ages and levels of experience. They also offer several community programs including Dragon Boat, private coaching lessons, team building and an Intro to Paddling led by experienced and enthusiastic coaches.

Everything required to make your Dragon Boat experience a positive, safe and fun one is provided by the club, including paddles and lifejackets. Practice sessions are conducted out on Lake Ontario if the conditions are favourable. On days when the wind and the waves are a factor, our training sessions take place on the 16 Mile Creek.
